The province of Manitoba has held its latest draw under the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP] of Canada. In Expression of Interest [EOI] Draw #108 held on February 12, 2021, a total of 296 invitations – referred to as Letters to Apply [LAAs] – have been issued. Of the 296 invitations issued by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program [MPNP] in the latest provincial draw by Manitoba, 20 LAAs went out to Canada immigration candidates that had declared a job seeker validation code, along with a valid Express Entry ID.
The invited candidates can now proceed to applying to the MPNP for being nominated by the province for their Canada PR. Consequently, those successful in securing a PNP nomination through Manitoba can then apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC] for Canadian permanent residence. With a PNP nomination in itself fetching an Express Entry candidate 600 CRS points, a provincial nomination guarantees that Express Entry candidate being issued an Invitation to Apply [ITA] by IRCC. |
In 2020, Manitoba invited a total of 5,076 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR through the MPNP.
The previous provincial draw by Manitoba was held on January 28, 2021.
It is through the MPNP that Manitoba province in Canada nominates newcomers based on their skills, education and connections to the province.
Targeted at skilled workers and entrepreneurs, the MPNP offers a pathway to Canada PR to newcomers that have the intention of settling within Manitoba after being granted their permanent residence in Canada.
The MPNP has 3 separate immigration streams, each targeted at a specific class of immigrants. These are – ·the Skilled Worker Stream ·Business Investor Stream [BIS], and ·International Education Stream [IES]. Under the MPNP’s Skilled Worker stream, an “established connection” to Manitoba will be required for a skilled worker applying from overseas. |
According to the MPNP, “Candidates who indicated that they are working in a regulated occupation and are fully licensed to work in Manitoba have been selected in this draw”.
