Overseas Students will need the France Study Visa if they intend to study in France. The nation had recently declared plans to ease visa procedures and improve tuition fees. It also aims to enhance English courses across its universities to attract overseas students.
The type of France Study Visa that you will need depends on the duration of your studies in the nation. There are 4 types of Study Visa in France:
The Visa for “Short-stay for Studies”
It is ideal for overseas students who intend to take a short course of duration less than 3 months.
The Visa for “Student in Competition”
It is for non-EU students who arrive in France for appearing for an exam. It could also be for completing an interview for admission at a higher education institute in France.
The Long-Term Visa Temporary (VLS-T)
This Visa allows you to reside in France for 12 months for completing your program in higher education. It cannot be renewed, as quoted by the Study International.
VLS – T permits you to travel freely in nations in the Schengen Area. It also offers benefits of the social security system in France during the stay of the visa holder. Part reimbursement for all health costs is also a feature of the visa.
The Long-Term Visa as Residence Permit (VLS-TS)
You can remain in France for 12 months with this Visa and there is no need to seek a Residency Visa. After the expiry of the Visa, you must apply for the Residency Visa to stay in France. There are 3 streams under this visa:
