New instructions by Ontario. For submitting PNP applications

Ontario has released particular instructions for future immigrants and their associates applying for the provincial immigration program.

 

Ontario immigration applicants have to submit complete applications to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Missing information can cause the applications to be returned. The province declares that it reduces processing duration only to allow the complete applications for its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

 

New instructions for sending complete applications pertain to Ontario Express Entry and Expression of willing candidates.

 

Ontario Express Entry Streams

When you are applying under an Express Entry stream and have foreign education, you have to clear an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) to get points for education.

 

Ontario particularly named World Education Services (WES) on its government homepage. However, this is not the only entity associated with performing credential assessments. The federal government includes a list of approved services on its homepage.

 

One has to authorize WES and share a copy of their ECA to the OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program). To get this, an “additional report” of their ECA online report is required. Next, select the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program as the recipient.

 

Only seeking the permission of WES to share the results of your assessment with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is not enough for applying for a provincial nomination from Ontario.

 

When you do not authorize WES to share the details with the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), it will cause the application to return as incomplete. The application fee is not refunded. One will miss the opportunity to apply to the program till they get a new notification of interest from Ontario.

 

Attestation Form

People applying through an Employer Job Offer stream need to submit a PDF copy of their Attestation Form. It has to be printed, signed in ink by the applicant, and submitted online to the “Other” tab in the category of ‘Supporting Documents.’

 

Ontario will return the application if it finds incomplete, and the application fee is non-refundable when you fail to submit a signed PDF copy of the attestation form. One will miss the opportunity to apply to the program till they register a new EOI and get a new invitation to apply for a provincial nomination.
