New Zealand is increasing the wage thresholds for most work visas to help workers migrating to New Zealand. The Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) remains the same as its current wage threshold. The minimum salary requirement needed to qualify for certain visa types is the wage threshold.
Applicants need to earn at least NZD$31.61 per hour to be eligible for the above visas.

The wage threshold for the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) remains the same as NZD$29.66 per hour. This is also applicable to AEWV-linked work visas that are listed to the average wage from February 2023. Immigrants depending on an AEWV for the Skilled Residence pathway need to meet wage threshold of NZD$31.61.
