PASS, also known as the Pre-Arrival Supports and Services, is a program dedicated to internationally educated nurses. Candidates must have proof of graduation from a recognized nursing program with IRCC immigration acceptance on a Canada PR status.
PASS plans to extend the range of webinars and information for members who pre-arrive. It also includes two new modules on indigenous health. The latest Workplace Integration Program (WIP) assists employers in hiring and maintaining internationally-educated nurse staff.
Ontario is currently looking to recruit 33,000 nurses by 2028. Ottawa had earlier announced that it would invest $86 million towards recognizing the foreign credentials of around 6000 international health professionals.
