The Ontario HCPS - Stream Human Capital Priorities began 2019 with a big start by offering 1, 493 ITAs to candidates in the Express Entry stream. The lowest ranking score of the invited candidates was 439.
The Stream Human Capital Priorities is a component of the OINP - Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. It permits OINP to look for candidates in the Express Entry. This is for those who fulfil the national and provincial eligibility requirements.
The minimum CRS score of the candidates who received ITAs in this first Ontario HCPS draw for 2019 was 439. It was lower than the minimum score for the previous and last draw held in express Entry in 2018, as quoted by the CIC News.
Candidates who have secured a nomination from Ontario will get 600 extra CRS points. This will ensure an ITA for Canada PR. The first draw for 2019 also witnessed Ontario HCPS resuming the non-targeted or general draws. It means candidates were not required to mandatorily have a job offer for this draw. They also did not have to prove proficiency in the French language.
Ontario HCPS had offered 3, 1719 ITAs to candidates in the Express Entry pool in 2018. This made it the busiest of the 3 streams in OINP aligned with Express Entry. The Skilled Worker French-Speaking Stream had offered 1, 633 ITAs last year. Stream Skilled Trades meanwhile offered 1, 626 ITAs to Express Entry candidates.
