Ontario held an Express Entry draw on April 30 and invited 307 French-speaking Express Entry candidates. The draw comes under the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream. This is the second OINP Express Entry-linked draw in the past two days, and the largest draw so far this year.
Candidates who were issued draws will be permitted to Immigrate to Canada through Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) stream.
With 307 Notifications of Interest (NOIs), this is the biggest FSSW draw yet for this year. 242 candidates had been invited to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence in the first draw held on January 9.
The candidates issued invitations in the latest draw have profiles in the federal Express Entry system, receiving the provincial nomination from Ontario will now have an additional 600 points to their CRS score.
For the FSSW, applicants must meet the Canadian Experience Class or Federal Skilled Worker Program eligibility criteria and have a Canadian Language Standard (CLB) of at least seven in French and six in English.
This is the second draw from Ontario which is linked to the Express Entry System in a span of two days. The earlier draw held in April was aimed at candidates in 14 skilled trades occupations.
Even with the COVID-19 special measures, now is the best time to apply for Canadian PR. Immigration will help Canada recover from COVID-19.
