Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker [FSSW] Stream provides French-speaking skilled workers – that also possess strong English language abilities – an opportunity for working and living in Ontario permanently.
In order to be able to apply online for a nomination by Ontario for Canadian permanent residence, the FSSW stream candidate must –
Have a valid Express Entry profile |
Have received an NOI from the OINP |
No job offer is required.
To qualify for the stream, the candidate must meet the requirements for either the Canadian Experience Class [CEC] or the Federal Skilled Worker Program [FSWP]. These are among the three main economic immigration programs that are handled through the Express Entry system of Canada.
Ontario’s Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream provides foreign nationals that have relevant work experience in any of the eligible skilled trades a pathway for applying to permanently work as well as live in Ontario.
In order to apply online for an OINP nomination through the stream, the candidate must –
Have a valid Express Entry profile |
Have received an NOI from the OINP |
On successfully securing a nomination, the candidate can then proceed to applying to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC] for Canada PR.
A nomination through Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program [PNP] – fetching an additional 600 CRS points – is a guarantee of the Express Entry candidate receiving an invitation to apply [ITA] from IRCC in the next Express Entry draw.
Those receiving an NOI from Ontario have 45 calendar days for submitting their application for provincial nomination through the OINP.
