On June 3, 2020, Ontario sent out – through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program [OINP] – 699 Notifications of Interest [NOIs] to immigration candidates under Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities [HCP] Stream.
Of the total 699 NOIs issued, while 167 NOIs were for those with Canadian work experience, 532 NOIs were sent to immigration candidates that had got their work experience internationally.
Candidates with a Comprehensive Ranking System [CRS] score as low as 358 were invited by the OINP to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada permanent residence.
9 occupations were specifically targeted in the latest draw to be held by the OINP. Candidates that received an NOI in the draw had work experience in any of the 9 National Occupational Classification [NOC] Codes.

Note. – For candidates with 1 or more years of foreign work experience, NOIs issued to those with a CRS between 471 and 500.§ For candidates with 1 or more years of Canadian work experience, NOIs issued to those with a CRS between 358 and 439. |
In order to qualify for Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities [HCP] Stream, the immigration candidate must meet the requirements of either the Federal Skilled Worker Program [FSWP] or the Canadian Experience Class [CEC].
At the time of the submission of the application to the OINP, the candidate will be required to select which of the federal programs – FSWP or CEC – they wish to be assessed against. Their Express Entry profile number as well as their job seeker validation code will have to be provided as well.
For 2020, the OINP’s allocation stands at 7,350. An additional 250 nominations have been set aside for temporary foreign workers in occupations requiring intermediate skills. These come under Skill Level C of the National Occupational Classification.
Occupations classified as Skill Level C are intermediate jobs usually requiring a high school education and/or job-specific training. For example, long-haul truck drivers.
