In the latest provincial draw to be held by Ontario under the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP], candidates invited had job offers in health, agriculture and manufacturing.
This is Ontario’s first In-Demand Skills stream draw as part of the new Expression of Interest [EOI] system launched by Ontario PNP recently.
On July 15, 2021, Ontario PNP – officially the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program [OINP] – held 2 separate draws in the latest round of invitations.
While 1 was a general draw, another draw specifically targeted In-Demand Skills candidates eligible for Ontario’s Regional Immigration Pilot.

What is the In-Demand Skills stream of the OINP? |
In-Demand Skills stream is an OINP immigration pathway under the Employer Job Offer category of the Ontario PNP.
The Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream offers foreign workers with a job offer in specific in-demand occupations – such as trucking, agriculture, construction, or personal support work – an opportunity of applying for an OINP nomination to live and work in Ontario on a permanent basis.
The Employer Job Offer: in-Demand Skills stream is open to foreign workers in Canada as well as those overseas.
The stream is among the 5 OINP streams that are now operated under the EOI system.
A Canada immigration hopeful might only be able to apply for the stream if they had –
· registered an EOI with the OINP, and · been issued an ITA by the OINP. Do ensure that you meet all the mandatory stream-specific requirements before you consider this OINP stream for Canadian permanent residence. |

Candidates that have received ITAs in the latest OINP EOI round of invitations now have 14 calendar days for applying for a PNP nomination by Ontario for permanent residence in Canada.
