• Ontario PNP recently announced a new version of the Employer Form.
• The new version of the form has been effective since April 10, 2024.
• Application for Approval of Employment Position must be used for applications to receive a nomination.
• Uploading an older version of the form can get the application marked as incomplete.

Eligibility Requirements for Employer Job Offer Stream

OINP’s Employer Job Offer stream targets foreign individuals with job offers from Ontario-based employers.

 

The three major streams under the Employer Job Offer Stream are listed below:

 

• Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream
• Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream
• Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream

Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream

The eligibility requirements for the Foreign Worker Stream under the Employer Job Offer category are listed below:

 

• Two years of prior work experience in the five years before submitting the application.
• Valid license in Ontario (If applicable)
• Proof of intention to reside and settle in Ontario
• Must either reside, work, visit, or study in Canada with a valid permit  
• A full-time or permanent job under the NOC TEER 1, 2, or 3 that aligns with Ontario’s median wage levels. For candidates who are already employed, the wage must be equal to or greater than the present wage.

Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream

The eligibility requirements for the International Student Stream under the Employer Job Offer category are listed below:

 

• Must have a legal status in Ontario
• Must have completed at least half of their studies in Canada
• Proof of intention to reside and settle in Ontario
• Full-time or permanent job under the NOC TEER 1, 2, or 3 or Skill type A or B that aligns with the wage levels in the province. The wage must be equal to or greater than the present for candidates already employed.
• Must graduate with a 2-year degree course from a public-funded college or university in Canada
• Must graduate with a 1-year diploma course from a public-funded college or university in Canada
• Must submit their application within two years of completing their study course in Canada

Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream

The eligibility requirements for the In-Demand Skills Stream under the Employer Job Offer category are listed below:

 

• Must have education that is equivalent to the high school or higher education levels in Canada
• Must have a valid work experience license or certificate
• Must have minimum a minimum of CLB 4 in French or English
• Must either reside, work, visit, or study in Canada with a valid permit  
• Proof of intention to reside and settle in Ontario
• Full-time or permanent job offer under occupations in the construction or agriculture sectors while meeting the wage requirements in Ontario
• Must have at least nine months of paid or full-time experience in any one of the eligible occupations in the last three years
