The latest OINP draw invited those eligible for Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker [FSSW] Stream.
Candidates that have received OINP invitations, also referred to as Notification of Interest [NOI] letters, can now go ahead with applying for an OINP nomination for Canada PR.
An immigration pathway or ‘stream’ under the OINP, the FSSW provides French-speaking skilled workers – that possess strong English language abilities – the opportunity for applying to live and work in Ontario permanently. To be eligible to be considered by the OINP for the FSSW stream, the candidate must have a valid profile in the Express Entry system of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC]. |
Receiving an NOI from the OINP is a pre-requisite for applying to the FSSW stream.

Acquiring Canadian permanent residence through the PNP is a 2-step process which begins with securing a PNP nomination through any of the PNP streams linked with IRCC Express Entry.
On successfully securing a PNP nomination, the individual would then be required to apply for their permanent selection by the federal government of Canada through IRCC.
IRCC invitations are issued to the highest-ranked Express Entry profiles.
Fetching 600 CRS points, a PNP nomination guarantees an IRCC invitation for that Express Entry candidate in the next federal draw to be held.
By ‘CRS’ here is implied the Comprehensive Ranking System that is used for ranking Express Entry profiles against one another. Following an assessment of the profile, the CRS score is allotted out of a maximum of 1,200 points attainable.
With the latest OINP draw, Ontario has invited 3,463 candidates so far in 2021. Of these, 374 were from the FSSW stream.
