Ontario PNP invites a record 1,685 through the EOI system in the same day

Canada's Ontario province has held another round of invitations under the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP].

Ontario is among the 9 provinces and 2 territories that are a part of Canadian PNP. Quebec runs its own immigration programs. Nunavut territory, on the other hand, has no immigration program as such.

On July 13, 2021, Ontario PNP issued targeted invitations to apply to candidates registered for the Regional Immigration Pilot in the Expression of Interest [EOI] pool of the OINP. Candidates that received invitations in the latest OINP draw were those qualifying for the Employer Job Offer: International Student or the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker pathways.

Additionally, 2 separate general draws were also held by the OINP along with the targeted draw.

3 major PNP draws were held by the OINP on July 13, 2021, inviting a total of 1,685 within a single day.

Those invited can now proceed to submitting their application to the OINP for being nominated by Ontario for permanent residence in Canada.

Ontario PNP issues important information for OINP applicants

In the latest OINP Program Update, while announcing the latest OINP EOI round of invitations, the OINP has also issued guidance for applicants.

For Ontario immigration pathways	Information regarding	Details
OINP Express Entry streams	ECA by WES	Those applying under an OINP stream aligned with IRCC Express Entry, and with an ECA from WES, must “authorize WES to share a copy” of their ECA with the OINP. For this, they must order an “Additional Report” of the ECA report online, selecting the OINP as the recipient of the ECA. Authorizing WES to share results of assessment with IRCC is not sufficient for the OINP application.
	Attestation Form	Those applying under any of the Employer Job Offer steams must submit a PDF copy of their Attestation Form – printed, personally signed in ink by the applicant, and uploaded to the ‘Other’ tab under the Supporting Documents.
IMPORTANT – Failure to adhere to the above-mentioned 2 OINP requirements will, as per the OINP, lead to the “application being returned as incomplete”.

Generally, Ontario issues invitations to apply to Canada immigration hopefuls under 5 OINP streams that are to be operated under the EOI system.

Notification of Interest [NOI] letters, on the other hand, are issued by the OINP for IRCC Express Entry linked OINP streams.
