Reason behind the doubling of the skilled immigrant intake

Every year, Ontario welcomes one-third of all newcomers to Canada as it is the most popular landing destination. It was already announced by the province and federal government that the doubling of the number of economic immigrants will take place. And the figure will reach 18,000 by 2025.

Ontario needs many more skilled newcomers to help build the highways, schools, hospitals, transit, and homes to cater to the growing population.
