Prince Edward Island (PEI) in Canada invited 135 candidates in the latest draw held on 18th July.
PEI issued the invitations under the below categories:
The PEI PNP’s Express Entry stream is aligned with the Federal Express Entry Program. Through it, the PEI PNP can nominate FSWP, FSTC and CEC candidates in the EE pool for a provincial nomination. A provincial nomination gets an Express Entry candidate 600 extra points on his CRS score.
The Labour Impact Category of Prince Edward Island is not linked to the Federal Express Entry Program. It is divided into 3 sub-categories:
Candidates applying under the Labour Impact Category should be currently working in PEI or have an offer of employment from the province.
Business candidates who are invited under the Business Impact Category need to first apply for a letter of support from the province for a Temporary Work Permit. You can apply for a provincial nomination after you have fulfilled the requirements outlined in the Business Performance Agreement.
To apply under the PEI PNP, candidates need to submit an Express of Interest to PEI PNP. This applies to all three categories.
Eligible candidates are placed in a pool and are scored based on the PEI point grid. Highest ranked candidates are invited in regular monthly draws from the pool, as per CIC News.
The PEI PNP did not reveal the minimum score for the Labour Impact and Express Entry stream in the 18th July draw.
The minimum cut-off for the Business Impact category was 112.
