In an interview with the Portuguese News Agency Luca, Pedro Costa Ferriera, President of the Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies, stated that despite the impact of recent events and other uncertainties, the traveller reservations for the upcoming New Year’s holiday will remain robust and will surpass previous records.
Ferreira also said that 2024 would be a great year for Portuguese tourism, driven by the positive reservations.

Madeira and Algarve are considered as a popular destination and continues to attract tourists, but other regions such as the Alentejo, the Centre, the Azores, and the North are also emerging and are gaining popularity in attracting more tourists.
Portuguese tourists are also exploring international destinations, such as Brazil, Cape Verde, Sao Tome, Cuba, and Disneyland Paris.
