Quebec has planned to invite more and more French-speaking people for some of the businesses. These businesses need immigrants from different backgrounds so that they can help in the reduction of labour shortage in Quebec.

Quebec has plans to choose economic immigrants to migrate to Quebec and work. The government has reduced the number of inviting new permanent residents as it has started inviting more temporary workers. Premier Francois Legault's Coalition Avenir Quebec has announced that the government is trying to protect French before the election on October 3.
