Tourist Visas for the UAE can be both single-entry and multiple-entry with a validity of 30 days or 90 days.
Can you apply for a Tourist Visa through airlines?
Yes, approved travel agents and hotels in the UAE can apply for a Tourist Visa for you if you buy your ticket through them or make hotel reservations through them. Even the airlines that you are flying with can apply for your Tourist Visa.
How to renew your Tourist Visa?
All Visit and Tourist Visas can be extended twice for 30 days each at the time of renewal. Also, as per the GDRFA, you do not need to exit the country to do so.
You can apply for your second renewal before your first one has expired. You need to pay Dh600 for each renewal.
What is the fine for overstay?
Tourist and Visitors who do not renew their visa and continue to overstay are fined Dh100 per day for each day that they overstay. The fine is calculated from ten days of the visa expiry.
