Indian research students to get scholarships from the Oxford University

Corporate Lawyer Cyril Shroff is a managing partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. He held a meeting at the Oxford University in which it was decided that the institute will provide scholarships for the research students. Somerville College is the India center for Oxford University where the batches will start.

Provision of the scholarship

The scholarship is an initiative from personal and family office. The scholarship will be given to the three students in the first year. Beneficiaries will also be added in the scholarship but their number has not been specified yet. The total expenses to be incurred on each student have also not been specified yet.

Reasons for providing scholarships

The scholarships are being provided to encourage the research in the global issues in which there is an involvement of policy and law.

First batch for scholarship

Cyril Shroff has told that the first batch will start in 2023 and scholarship will be a part of this batch. There are 1,000 lawyers and 160 partners in the Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas law firm. The offices of this institute are in the cities listed below:
