SA makes diverse changes for state sponsorship for Australia PR

South Australia has announced diverse changes for state sponsorship for Australia PR and released its Supplementary List and State Nominated Occupations List. Below are the updates:

State Nominated Occupations List

All the applicants who cater to the requirements and whose occupation is included in the SNOL can submit the EOI- Expression of Interest. Consequently, they can apply for Australia PR through South Australia state nomination through online, as quoted by the SBS.

Supplementary List

All applicants for whom Special Conditions Apply or whose occupation is in the Supplementary list can lodge their EOI. Consequently, they can apply for Australia PR through South Australia state nomination through online. They must also fulfill any of the below requirements:

• Overseas Graduate of South Australia
• Employed in South Australia for last 1 year
• An immediate member of the family is South Australia resident for last 2 years
• 80 points in EOI – High points

Highlights of the changes

• Majority of the occupations are qualified for Subclass 489 Visa only
• The English requirement for most of the occupation is Competent Plus/Proficient in each band/Proficient Plus overall
• Research of job prospects for the specific specialization of the applicant is required for some occupations
• ICT occupations are eligible only for Subclass 489 Visa and minimum 70 points are required with Proficient Plus/Proficient in English
• Meeting experience requirement of 3 or 5 years is compulsory for some occupations
