Canada’s Saskatchewan province has held its latest round of invitations – on August 5, 2021 – under the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP]. This is the first Saskatchewan PNP draw to be held in August 2021.
As Saskatchewan PNP is officially known as the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program or SINP, provincial draws held by Saskatchewan are also referred to as “SINP draws”.
Generally issued twice a month, invitations by SINP go out to skilled workers that might be eligible for either the Occupations In-Demand or Saskatchewan Express Entry streams under the International Skilled Worker [ISW] category.
Both the streams target skilled workers looking to immigrate to Saskatchewan. However, while Saskatchewan Express Entry is linked with the federal Express Entry system, Occupations In-Demand streams runs independently.
The previous SINP draw was held on July 21, 2021, where a total of 280 Canada immigration hopefuls received invitations.
Those invited can proceed to submitting their application to Saskatchewan for being nominated by SINP for Canadian permanent residence.

Acquiring Canada PR through the PNP route – wherein the provincial and territorial [PT] governments in Canada nominate individuals – is a 2-step process.
After securing a PNP nomination, the candidate can then use their Nomination Certificate for applying to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC] for permanent residence in Canada.
An IRCC Express Entry candidate that is able to secure a PNP nomination is guaranteed an ITA by IRCC. A PNP nomination is worth 600 ‘additional’ ranking points [based on the 1,200-point Comprehensive Ranking System, hence also called the “CRS score”] for a skilled worker with their profile in the federal Express Entry pool of candidates. |
With the latest round of invitations, Saskatchewan PNP has invited a total of 4,917 candidates in 2021 so far.
