On January 21, 2021, Saskatchewan issued a total of 502 invitations – 313 through Occupations In-Demand and another 189 through Express Entry – in the latest provincial draw held under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program [SINP].

This is the second PNP draw by Saskatchewan in 2021. The first SINP draw of 2021 was held on January 7, 2021.

To immigrate to Canada through the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP] and settle within the province of Saskatchewan with family, the first step of the process is to submit a ‘pre-application’ that involves the registration of an Expression of Interest [EOI] profile with the SINP.

An EOI profile with the SINP will be valid for 1 year from the day of submission. Candidates are then ranked on the basis of a score – the EOI score – allotted at the time of registration. It is the highest-ranked candidates that will be invited by the SINP to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR through Saskatchewan.

SINP sends out invitations to apply through the EOI draws that are usually held on a bi-monthly basis.

The SINP places a limit on the selection of EOIs occupation-wise so that – [1] nomination do not exceed the employment demand in the province, and [2] nominees with positive employment prospects within the province are selected.
