Saskatchewan PNP: 2022 Draw Dates for SINP’s Entrepreneur Program

Canada's Saskatchewan province has announced the scheduled 2022 draw dates for the Entrepreneur Program.

As per a recent update, Saskatchewan has published the dates of the upcoming draws under the Entrepreneur program. Provincial draws by Saskatchewan under the Entrepreneur category will take place on –

  • January 6, 2022
  • March 3, 2022
  • May 5, 2022
The Entrepreneur category will be inviting candidates with an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile – in the SINP’s EOI pool – on January 6, 2022; March 3, 2022; and May 5, 2022. On a temporary basis, exploratory visits to the Saskatchewan province completed on or after March 18, 2019 will be accepted. The temporary measure is expected to end following the lifting of the travel restrictions to Canada. After this, the required exploratory visit to Saskatchewan must again be conducted within 12 months of EOI submission to be awarded points on the EOI points grid. The exploratory visit must have been completed before the EOI submission to be able to claim points for the factor.

What is Saskatchewan PNP’s Entrepreneur category? The SINP Entrepreneur category provides a pathway for living in Saskatchewan to individuals that either start, partner, or own a business in the province. Through the Entrepreneur category of Saskatchewan PNP, you – as well as your family – can live in Saskatchewan while you are actively involved in the management of the business that you either started, obtained or partnered within Saskatchewan. The first step of the Entrepreneur application process is that of expressing an interest in being considered by the SINP under the category. Those with the highest EOI score or ranking points are selected during SINP Entrepreneur draws. If invited to apply, you can submit your complete application to the SINP under the Entrepreneur category. Following pre-screening and assessment, a decision is made whether the Entrepreneur candidate is eligible for a Work Permit Support Letter (allowing them to come to the province and establish their business).

 What is the basis step-wise process of applying to SINP’s Entrepreneur Program?

STEP 2: Selection of EOI and invitation to submit an application

STEP 3: Business establishment

STEP 4: Nomination by SINP for Canada PR.

Saskatchewan province is a part of Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program, also referred to as Canadian PNP.

Under the PNP of Canada, the participating provinces and territories get to nominate candidates for permanent residence in Canada, provided they have the intention of living within the nominating province/territory after being granted their Canada PR visa.

Altogether 134 invitations were issued under the three SINP’s Entrepreneur Program draws held in 2021.

Entrepreneur draws were suspended by Saskatchewan PNP during COVID-19 pandemic situation. From July 2021, however, SINP Entrepreneur Program draws have been resumed.
