The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program conducted its largest ever draw for its Express Entry and Occupations In-demand sub-categories. A total of 853 candidates received invitations to apply for a provincial nomination in the October 10 draw.
359 invitations were issued under the Express Entry sub-category with the lowest-ranked candidate scoring 60 points. Remaining 494 invitations were issued in the Occupations In-demand category. The candidate with the lowest score in this category had 63 points, as per CIC News.
This SINP draw saw the lowest ever minimum scores ever since the SINP moved to an Expression of Interest system in July this year.
Another notable change to the SINP program is the revision of the Occupations In-demand list. The list was revised on October 11 and two occupations were dropped from it.
NOC 3216 (Medical Sonographers) and NOC 2123 (Agricultural representatives, consultants, and specialists) are the two occupations which have been removed from the Occupations In-demand list.
The Occupations In-demand category of the SINP is not aligned with the Federal Express Entry Program. Eligible candidates who score a minimum of 60 points on Saskatchewan’s points grid may apply under the same. Candidates must also have a minimum of 1-year experience in the recent 10 years in an occupation on the Occupations In-demand list.
Candidates who have received an invitation will have 60 days time to submit an application for a Provincial Nomination.
