*Want to work in Canada? Check your eligibility in the Canada Skilled Immigration Points Calculator
Canadian Immigration Minister Sean Fraser announced that the country will launch a new pathway this summer. The pathway will be under the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) and help Canadian employers hire skilled refugees and other displaced individuals.
The new pathway under EMPP will be more flexible than the one introduced in December last year.
The new pathway will help employers struggling to find workers in pivotal areas. The pathway also allows newcomers to restart their careers and lives in the country. With this, the employers will also be able to address labor shortages and provide an opportunity for the refugees to live safely and rebuild their lives.
Under this program, the employers will not be required to tap into the Provincial Nominee Programs, and the applicants will get approved within six months. The IRCC will reveal more information about the new federal pathway in the coming weeks.
