IRCC Express Entry Draw

The second Express Entry Draw of the week has been held by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). 300 Invitations to apply (ITAs) were sent out to candidates with French language proficiency in a Category based selection, with a requirement of minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 486.

This draw followed after the most recent one on October 24, where 1,548 candidates were invited to the first Provincial Nominee Programme (PNP) only draw since May 10 with a minimum CRS of 776.

The candidates in the Express Entry pool who are also nominated by a province automatically receive 600 CRS points; the minimum CRS score for PNP drawings is greater.

Candidates for Express Entry do not require undergoing a pre-entry medical exam:

Candidates for Express Entry do not require undergoing an upfront immigrant medical examination (IME) anymore prior to submitting their application to the IRCC for permanent residence as of October 1st of this year.

There is still an exam requirement; candidates can upload a blank document using the Express Entry profile builder's upload. IRCC will send all the instructions about the medical exam later.

It is not necessary to do an IME for second time if the applicant has already applied for one IRCC application earlier or if they are presently residing in Canada.
