In a move towards inclusive immigration policies, Minister of Immigration Canada, Marc Miller has announced an initiative that facilitates the way for unauthorized immigrants, students, and professionals to apply for permanent residency in the nation.
As per the report, there are estimated 300,000 to 600,000 individuals living in Canada without having proper documentation, which puts them at risk of getting deported. This program will be extended to those who arrived into the nation legally as international students or temporary workers and chose to remain in the country after their visas got expired.

This program aligns with the ambitious immigration goals set by Canada to welcome 500,000 newcomers every year by 2025, promoting economic growth and development through the expansion of population.
This is open to all undocumented individuals, especially those who have recently entered the nation. A detailed proposal outlining the procedure for undocumented immigrants to secure legal status will be presented to the cabinet in the upcoming spring.
