A record level of 82,000 student visas have been issued by US Mission in India in 2022, which is comparatively higher than any country worldwide. Around 20% of international students who are studying in the US are from India.
Many students were able to get student visas just this summer, which is a bigger number than any other year.

Processing the student visa applications has been prioritized by the Embassy of US in New Delhi and the other four Consulates in Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai from May to August so that many qualified students can go to their respective study programs in time as scheduled start dates.
With these numbers, the United States remains the most opted country for higher education.
