Italy has become a popular destination for Indians due to improved conditions and increased opportunities.
According to data from the Ministry of External Affairs, Indian community in Italy has grown significantly, comprising 45,357 Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and 157,695 non-resident Indians (NRIs).

The objective of this agreement is to build strong connections and encourage mobility between India and Italy among students, business professionals, skilled workers, and young talent.
Indian students after completing their academic or vocational training will now be able to reside temporarily in Italy for up to 12 months and gain professional experience.
Providing internships, professional training and post-study options will strengthen the existing structure of Italian visa by putting India in a favorable position in the present labor mobility pathways.
To ensure effective implementation, a joint working committee is created to oversee and monitor the agreement, enhancing accountability and transparency for this project between Italy and India.
