Top 10 Best Places for Expats & Migrants in 2021

As per Expat Insider 2021 survey, Taiwan was the best expat destination worldwide, attracting expats with the ease of settling in as well as good personal finances.

Expat Insider surveys are conducted annually by InterNations, the largest global expat network, founded in 2007. In 2021, a total of 12,420 expats worldwide took part in the annual Expat Insider survey. The respondents represented 174 nationalities, living in 186 countries or territories.   Each of the participants in the InterNations survey was asked to rate – on a scale of 1 to 7 – up to 37 factors pertaining to the different aspects of expat life.   Conducted by InterNations, the Expat Insider 2021 survey was done online and ran from January 7 to 31, 2021.

Factors taken into consideration for coming up with the country ranking are –

• Ease of settling in
• Personal finance
• Working abroad

For the Expat Insider 2021 survey, the above-mentioned 4 indices, along with the responses to the question “How satisfied are you with life abroad in general?” were then averaged to come to the overall country ranking.
