Immigrants in the US

The US remains as the land of opportunities for immigrants and new life in the nation brings with it personal and financial rewards. They are boosted by a renewed focus of the Federal Government on Industry, Business, and Jobs.

Around 73% or 3/4ths of the expats in the US consider that it is a good destination for those who immigrate to boost their careers. The global average is just 54%. The figure has increased by 12% points after 2016 and ranks the US as #1 in the HSBC survey for career progression.

The US also ranks 5th in the HSBC survey for Entrepreneurship according to immigrants. More than half or 53% of them said that it is a good destination for starting a business. The earnings potential is also very high, add the expats.

Around 2/3rds or 62% of the immigrants said that the US offers better opportunities for income than their home country. It is an improvement of 9% points over 2016 and ranks the nation 9th on HSBC rankings for income.

The average income of immigrants in the US is little over $ 161,000 which is an increase of average 36% after immigration. However, the gains for migrants are not purely monetary. Around 50% of them said that their overall quality of life in the US is better than in the home nation.
