UAE residents choose Visa-free trips as airfares soar

UAE residents are increasingly opting for Visa-free trips even as the airfares are skyrocketing. Travel agents are also advising vacationers to book holidays minimum 90 days in advance. This will avoid spending more on travel tickets, they add.

Y-Axis Dubai Branch Manager Clint Khan has said that the majority of the customers in the UAE are ‘end minute market’. They book their tickets just before the travel day, he adds. I advise the vacationers to book their tickets minimum 45 days in advance said, Mr. Khan. This is because they can save around 30% he added.

The current market trend is that UAE residents are choosing visa-free trips said, Clint Khan.

The ticket sales for staycation packages and cruises are increasing in the UAE. Below are some the most favorite destinations in this holiday season:

• Ukraine – Dh 1999 per person in the package, off-season Dh 1700
• Georgia – Dh 1, 739, off-season Dh 1500
• Azerbaijan – Dh 2199, off-season Dh 1999

The other destinations popular this season also includes Maldives and Bali. Apart from these, UAE residents’ traffic is also increasing to the UK and other EU nations. Here they are offered Visa on arrival, as quoted by the Khaleej Times.
