Official figures show that the number of EU citizens exiting the UK is more than the arriving numbers. This has renewed concerns over the impact of Brexit. The migration numbers from EU to the UK was at a six-year low. On the other hand, non-EU migration saw the highest numbers in the decade.
Madeleine Sumption says that post-Brexit; EU migrants have been leaving the UK in large numbers. Madeleine is the Director of the Migration Observatory at Oxford University. She also added that the inflow of migrants from the EU has greatly decreased, as per the Hindustan Times.
The depreciation of the value of the “pound” has also lessened the charm of the UK. The UK has become less attractive to EU nationals as economic conditions in several other EU nations have improved. This improvement in the economy has led many EU migrants to move back to their home countries.
