Global Universities List and Overseas Degree Requirement

The High Potential Individual Visa requirement lies in an overseas degree-level academic qualification. In order to be eligible for this visa, you must have been given the degree within the 5 years. Your granting institution must be listed on the Global Universities List, compiled by the Home Office.

Validity of the visa will depend on the qualification you relied on to meet the overseas degree requirement on the Global Universities List:

• If you have a Ph.D. or another doctorate degree, you will be granted a 3 year visa.
• You will be granted a 2 year visa for all other degree qualifications.
• Once you are accepted, you will be able to work (including volunteer work and self-employment).
