An updated website has been launched by US Citizenship and Immigration Services [USCIS] on July 21, 2020.
As per a News Alert by USCIS, the website update has been designed based on input from the public, applicants, and petitioners. Along with coming out with a “new look and feel”, the USCIS website has been improved for helping visitors better navigate the existing online resources and tools.
The new update will also facilitate filing as well as managing petitions and applications online.
Moreover, USCIS also seeks to make process-related information on the USCIS website easier to find through streamlining navigation. This has been done based on best practices, data, and user feedback.
As per the News Alert by USCIS, the updates are to be “uniform across all USCIS websites, including, uscis.gov, myUSCIS and Case Status Online”.
New features of the USCIS website include –
User-centred design, allowing website visitors to easily locate immigration options and information on any device. |
A link to the USCIS online account sign-in provided at the top of all pages on uscis.gov, allowing website visitors to easily access both their existing account as well as create a new one. |
Increased access to and availability of multilingual resources and Spanish through enhancements made to the Multilingual Resource Center and the Spanish website. |
An Explore My Options feature added to the Forms section of the uscis.gov website. With this new tool, visitors can determine their potential eligibility for various US immigration options, by providing answers to certain questions. |
A new designing, location and complete revision of the Citizenship Resource Center [CRC] |
An enhanced and improved on-page search and filter-by features, allowing web visitors to find policies, reports, and agency data with ease. |
USCIS encourages its website visitors to make use of the various resources and tools provided by them.
Online filing for eligible forms via USCIS online account is also highly recommended by USCIS.
