The USCIS has announced that it has temporarily suspended the premium processing service for all Form I-140 and I-129 petitions. The services will remain suspended until further notice due to the COVID19 outbreak.
The USCIS has announced that starting 20th March, it will not accept any new premium processing requests. It will, however, continue processing all premium processing requests for all accepted Form I-907 (Request for Premium Processing Service). All prior applications would be treated as per the processing service criteria. However, the USCIS will not be sending notices through pre-paid envelopes but only through batch printed ones.
If you have already filed a request for premium processing for Form I-140 or I-129 and have not yet received any response in 15 days, you will get a refund.
The USCIS will publish a notice regarding resuming premium processing services at a later date.
If your premium processing request was submitted before 20th March but has not yet been accepted, the USCIS will return the $1,440 filing fee.
The temporary suspension of premium processing will also affect the following categories:
Form I-129
Form I-140
