IRCC has recently announced that IEC work permit holders under the Young Professionals Category can still receive extra CRS points if they have a valid job offer. Candidates under the Young Professional Category can receive the extra 50 or 200 CRS points for having a valid job offer in Canada.
On December 18, 2025, IRCC announced that International Experience Canada (IEC) Work Permit Holders are no longer eligible to get extra CRS points for Express Entry applications. However, work permits issued before December 18, 2024, can continue to get additional points for Express Entry applications.
