The latest seek data for salary demonstrates a hike in salaries across every Australian State and Territory. The State that led the growth of salary in 2018 was Tasmania with an increase of 3.8%. Nevertheless, the average advertised salary for the State was the lowest in Australia with 74, 103$.

Talent International APAC Chief Executive Officer Mark Nielsen said that the growth may be resulting from a comparatively low base. The Tasmania market is quite small. Thus, even a small hike in salaries will impact the board across, added Nielson, as quoted by the SEEK.

South Australia witnessed a growth of 3.7% in salaries with an average salary of 78, 538 $. Further growth in months ahead can be expected with the latest announcement of tax deductions in payroll for small businesses.
