The Guardian Trust Master's Scholarship in Commerce is awarded to merit students enrolled in full-time or part-time Master's courses at the University of Canterbury. Under this scholarship, only one Commerce Mater's student enrolled in the University of Canterbury is supported with the financial aid needed for the tuition fees. Only Master's scholars can apply for the Guardian Trust Master's scholarship. The selection committees will shortlist applicants with outstanding academic records to award this scholarship.

The scholarship is open to local and international students who are enrolled in a full-time or part-time Master’s program in Commerce at the University of Canterbury. Applicants must have met the academic requirements for admission to the program and must be in good academic standing.
One scholarship is awarded every year.

The University of Canterbury started the Guardian Trust Master’s scholarship in 1995 for deserving Commerce Master’s candidates. This merit-based scholarship is given to one eligible candidate every year. NZ$16,500 will be awarded to qualified scholars to manage their tuition fees and living expenses. Students enrolled in full-time or part-time Master’s in Commerce courses at the university can apply for this grant.
