Documents Required for a Portugal EU Blue Card 

To apply for a Portugal EU Blue Card, you must have the following documents:

  • Original passport with a validity of 15 months 
  • An employment contract in Portugal with a minimum validity of 12 months
  • Academic transcripts 
  • Professional experience of at least 5 years 
  • The salary offered must be at least 1.5 times the average annual salary in Portugal 
  • The salary offered must be at least 1.2 times the annual average wages in Portugal (for in-demand professions)
  • Recognition of professional qualifications (for regulated professions)
  • Proficiency in the Portuguese language (if required)
  • Medical insurance
  • Clear criminal record
