The Université de Montréal (U de M), also known as the University of Montreal, is a public university that imparts education in French in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

University of Montreal campus

The main campus of UdeM is spread over 65 hectares of land on Mount Royal’s north-western slope, considered one of the finest urban parks in North America. Other campuses are The MIL Campus, Saint-Hyacinthe campus, Laval campus, Mauricie campus, Longueuil campus, Lanaudière campus, and The Bureau de l’enseignement régional.

• Available to students of UdeM are on-campus and off-campus housing. At the University of Montreal’s main campus is on-campus housing is reserved for the university’s proper full-time students. For couples, no housing is available due to the constraints of the number of rooms available.
• Students who are interested in residing off-campus can visit the off-campus housing office as the Bureau has a database of affordable and easily accessible apartments and rooms close to the university campus or in the neighborhoods.

• It is not possible to reserve in advance for the students at the off-campus housing office or Bureau du logement hors campus. Therefore, new students are advised to enter the campus two to three weeks before the classes commence to find accommodation.
• Furnished rooms are available off-campus with rent of about CAD4,800 to CAD6,000 per year, depending on where they are located. The rent covers electricity, heating, hot water, and kitchen usage. Apartments outside the campus include a private kitchen, bathroom, stove, and refrigerator at a rent of about CAD5,500 to CAD100,000 per year.

Application process of University of Montreal

Scholarships/financial aid of University of Montreal
