The University of Bayreuth, known earlier as German Universität Bayreuth, is a public university located in Bayreuth, Bavaria, Germany. 

Founded in 1975, it has seven undergraduate and graduate faculties, each of which operates independently.

  • The university houses a green campus.
  • Facilities on the campus include an auditorium, café, canteen, laboratories, lecture theatres, libraries, fully-furnished classrooms, university shops, etc.

Financial Aid for Foreign Students at the University of Bayreuth
  • The university provides different types of financial aid, i.e., scholarships, grants, and loans. For availing of grants, applicants are required to submit a completed application form along with the following required documents to the International Office for Study Grants:
    • Enrollment certificate
    • Copies of passport and residence permit
    • Expert opinion from a university lecturer at the University of Bayreuth
    • Proof of study achievements at the university by way of official transcripts 
    • Motivation letter

  • Grants application deadlines

  • Grants are given for not more than two semesters. And now students are not qualified to receive them.
