The University of Bristol is a research university in Bristol, England. It received its royal charter in 1909.
It has six academic faculties comprising multiple schools and departments that offer more than 200 undergraduate courses. There is no main campus for the university which is spread over a significant area. Most of its activities take place in the city center, which is known as the ‘University Precinct’.
