The University of Wisconsin–Madison, or UW, or UW–Madison is a public university located in Madison, Wisconsin. Founded in 1848, its main campus is spread over 933 acres. 

UW–Madison is categorized into 20 schools and colleges and houses more than 47,900 students. Of them, more than 33,500 are bachelor’s, over 9,770 are master’s, and 2,680 are professional students.
