It was founded in 1919. In 1954, however, it was renamed after Roberto C. Goizueta, former Chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company. It is located on the main campus of Emory University in a suburban community near Atlanta.

Housed on the campus of Goizueta Business School is the Goizueta Foundation Center for Research and Doctoral Education. It contains the original works of Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, and Salvador Dalí.
The woodruff library has various books, some of which are rare. The school hosts competitions, recreational activities, ski trips, and other activities to aid the students in developing a fully rounded personality.
Since Goizueta Business School is a part of Emory University, it provides students with various accommodation options including for those in the first year, housing for all genders, accessibility needs housing, sorority & fraternity housing, etc. The campus has about 20 residence halls.
