Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 186) Visa (ENS)

An Employer Nomination Scheme visa is a permanent residency visa for skilled workers. Onshore and offshore applicants both are eligible for Subclass 186 visas. To be eligible for the Subclass 186 visa, a skilled worker must be nominated by an Australian employer.

 

Employer Nomination Scheme Visa 186 Streams

Subclass 186 visa has three different streams:

  • Direct Entry Stream: Individuals can apply for this visa if they meet the skills requirements and have relevant work experience in the nominated position. Your Australian sponsor can nominate you for any profession listed in the skilled occupations list.
  • Labor Agreement Stream: Individuals can apply for the Labour Agreement Stream if their sponsor is involved in labor agreements. Labor agreements allow Australian sponsors to bring overseas workers to Australia when there is a shortage in the local market and other visa options are not available.
  • Temporary Residence Transition Stream: This stream is suitable for individuals who have another temporary work visa subclass 457 or 482 and are willing to stay in Australia permanently.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Subclass 186 Visa

  • Receive a nomination from an authorized Australian employer.
  • Meet the skills assessment criteria and have a job in the skilled occupation list.
  • Age must be less than 45 years.
  • English language requirements, qualifications, and skills must be fulfilled.

 

Requirements for Subclass 186 Visa

  • A copy of your valid passport. (Passport must be valid for 6 months)
  • A copy of your identity.
  • Character documents. You must have also scored 80 for your character and personal particulars assessment
  • Proof that you are proficient in English
  • Qualifications and work experience documents
  • Registered business license for your business
  • Form 956A and Form 956
  • Skill assessment for occupation or evidence of registration from an industry body
  • Resume/ CV
