Australia will open the Ballot process for the Working holiday program on 16 September 2024. The countries listed under the ballot process are India, China, and Vietnam. Visa Subclass 462 is granted to people who want to work and holiday in Australia. Depending on the conditions related to it, an individual can apply for this visa up to three times.
India is allotted 1000 places for the current year.

University degrees, diplomas, and other graduate certificates will be accepted with a minimum of 2 years of study (above post-secondary level). The policy will be released specifically for India. This is as per the current requirement they have for other countries in this visa program.
Family members cannot be included in this program; to be applied separately if they are eligible and meet the same criteria.
English requirement: It is not mandatory to take the English exam as highlighted.

have undertaken relevant education- All Primary years in English and At least 3 years in English. So, studying in English will be a substitute for Functional English and will not be mandatory to appear for the test.
Proof of Funds: This is usually about AUD5,000 for the initial stay, plus the fare to where you are going after leaving Australia. We recommend 4.5 to 5.5 Lakhs in readily available INR funds before applying for a visa.
Health insurance: May need to complete health requirements. Health insurance is recommended.
Police Verification: Meet the character requirement by providing police clearances from countries stayed for more than 12 months in the last 10 years. Biometrics may also be required for some based on the applying country.
Pay your debts to the Australian Government (if any): If you or any family members owe the Australian government money, you or they must have paid it back or arranged to pay it back.
Australian Immigration History: Not having a visa canceled or an application refused - immigration history will be considered while deciding on an application, which means one might not be eligible for this visa if they have had a visa canceled or refused.
